NORMANN COPENHAGEN
Giulia Josè Conte projects for Normann Copenhagen
NORMANN COPENHAGEN
My daily role at Normann Copenhagen was to produce new design concepts for their accessories, lighting and furniture range and for the upcoming new brand Tivoli. I was given six projects at once with inspirational images from other designs or mood-boards. Overall I designed many products ranging from lamps, glasses, trays and more. I would sketch my ideas, make a selection and proceed to draw them up on Rhinoceros or Solidworks. I would then render them by researching first new materials or new production techniques. We would then get the designs 3D printed or I would make a 1:1 scale model in the workshop and once we were happy with sizes and proportions, I would produce technical drawings and presentations to be sent to prototypation and then production.
